We all get along well with each other, so the next woman who moves in will need to meet all of us and relate well with us. You must spend some time getting to know us. We should all try to put some joy in each other's lives. Good (effective) communication is very important.
Female roommate wanted in Skokie - Must be non-smoker. No pets allowed. Share 2nd floor furnished apartment with 3 other women ages 25 - 47. $500 per mo if you want your own room or $260 per mo if you share a room (Sharing cannot be guaranteed. It depends on how well you get along with your roommate). If you become good friends with another woman after living there a while, then the two of you may consider sharing a room. Utilities included: gas, electric, heat, water. Nice quiet neighborhood near downtown Skokie. 4 blocks from the Oakton St. Yellow Line (7 minute ride to the Red-Line station). Near Oakton Community College. 3 blocks from Skokie Library. Good parking. Non-Smoker please. Stann is the landlord and will not be living there. He does have a photo studio on the first floor. To see the apartment call and ask for Stann or Ana.
Rent is due on the 1st day of the month and must be paid in person. If you move in after the first of the month or if you move out before the end of a month, your rent will be pro-rated per day that you actually use. The lease can be terminated by either the landlord or the tenant with 30 days notice. A security deposit of one month's rent is payable in advance before you move in, then refunded when you leave as long as you have not caused any serious damage beyond normal use. A deposit of $40 is required for a background check. If you have never been evicted or convicted of a violent crime, then you will get the $40 back approximately two - three weeks later. Before you can move in, you must meet all of us. We must complete your background check. If you are not sure about making a commitment yet, then you might keep your current place, plus stay free short term (not longer than 7 days at a time. If you stay in the guestroom you will need to fill out an application for a background check before you stay. This of course would be on the condition that you are seriously considering moving in eventually as a tenant. The Village of Skokie does not allow us to move in people before getting to know them, because that would be considered a rooming house. Skokie does not allow rooming houses. This is a living situation where people must get along well, or move out. The first week is getting to know each other, so you can either keep your current residence during the first week or be invited to be someones guest (If you are a guest, then bring no more than two suit cases). The first week is evaluation, so please do not bring any furniture during the first week.
