One mid-sized bedroom in a 3 bedroom 1 ½ bathroom house/apartment available for rent as early as February 1st (4 month lease) with option to extend.
This spacious apartment is located in a nice quiet neighborhood with street parking and a park one block away. The living space is large with storage closet(s), terrace/balcony, backyard access, and full kitchen.
Rent is $950 + utilities/month (water and heat included)
No centralized air conditioning

THINGS YOU’LL NEED BEFORE MOVE IN:
Move-in requires 1-month security deposit and first-month rent (totaling $1,900).
Additionally, a background check ($35) will be needed along with proof of employment, steady income, and any additional supporting documents.
All applicants must earn at least 40X the rent (about $45k annual income) and must have a 650+ credit score
TRANSPORTATION:
Located nearest L Train (Rockaway Pkwy-Canarsie station). Will have to take bus or dollar van to train station if no transportation, otherwise 25 min walk.
Bus B42, B17, B103 run very frequently and located near first pickup stop for “dollar vans”
Public transportation reliable for someone who doesn’t drive. I drive but other roommates in the past lived her 3+ years and didn’t drive.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
Canarsie Park located one block away. Gateway Shopping Center/Mall 2mi away (Target, TJMaxx, Nordstrom, Best Buy, BJ’s, etc). Grocery Stores, laundromats, and eateries within 10-15 min walk. JFK airport 20 minutes away driving.
THE ROOMATES:
Two African-American females in late 20’s/early 30’s working professionals. This situation is great for someone who is VERY clean, considerate, and doesn’t like to bring the party home. We are looking for someone who will clean up after themselves keeping the common areas presentable and having no dishes overnight. There is a weekly rotation cleaning schedule for cleaning common areas, disposing of trash, and recycling. We want to make sure the space is comfortable and feels like home.
